The Seattle Central Area Chamber of Commerce (SCACC) sponsored the Juneteenth Freedom Festival & Parade 2006. The Festival was held in Pratt Park, 20th & E. Yesler, June 16, 17 & 18. Juneteenth is a Celebration of Freedom commemorating the enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas; the last state to free enslaved African Americans. http://www.scacc.net
